A new link has been added to the Links column to the right. I know there is Google maps and lots of other map websites out there, but ACME Mapper 2.0 gives us the USGS topo maps for free. I have not been able to find any other website that works as well as ACME Mapper 2.0. If you look back at the Trout Fishing Articles post and read the first article Small Stream Fishing Part 1: How to Find a Stream of Your Own the Topo maps on ACME Mapper 2.0 is a great tool to help you get started. I have been using ACME Mapper 2.0 for years. When I start planing a fishing trip, I print off maps of the area I am planing to fish, write notes and mark areas I want to concentrate on. If you are planing a back packing trip buy some waterproof paper at the local office supply or in some outdoors stores. If you can find any just go to the (link) to make sure your maps last through out your trip.
