Meeting Change Announcement: July is the month for picnics. LRCTU July’s meeting will be held at River Johns on July 27 for our picnic meeting. This will be a joint picnic with the Smoky Mountain Chapter. The dinner will start about 6:30PM but come early and bring your fly rod to fish the water around the island. Be sure to bring a dish to share. For you guys that don’t cook, cake, pies, cookies and pudding are always good. The Chapters will provide burgers and dogs. Also bring a comfortable chair to rest in.

I just came back from a visit to the in-laws. The brother-in-law has a cabin in the southern tier of New York below the Finger Lakes. Joyce and I always take the fishing gear when we travel. You never know when a fishing opportunity will present itself. A little research found the Cohocton or Conhocton River, depending on who you talk to, it isa brown trout and small mouth bass fishery. I enjoy my in-laws immensely but who can pass up the chance to wade a trout stream. Joyce and I both caught nice brown trout and a few small mouth bass. A very successful visit.

Hannah Tulley, who is our chapter treasurer, called the other day to say that she will have to resign from the treasurer position. She and Pat are bring a new Tulley into the world so the Chapter will need to find a new treasurer.
