With a lot of events coming up this month it is time to start planing your road trips.
Starting on Saturday, October 8, 2016 • 9am – 5pm is the Smoky Mountain Fly Fishing Festival in downtown Bryson City next to the Train Depot on Frye Street. Last year was a good event even with the rain, this year should be even better. (Link)
Next on October, 15-16, 2016 8am – 6pm is the Tenkara Jam. For all you Tenkara fisherman or anyone wanting to get started, This event will be held at Yellowhill Activity Center on the Qualla Reservation in Cherokee, North Carolina. (Link)
Finally on November 4-5, 9 am – 5 pm is the Smoky Mountains Hook & Hackle Fly Tyers Retreat. It will be held at the Birdtown Complex, 1212 Birdtown Rd. (US 19) between Bryson City and Cherokee. Our Chapter’s President Mike Bryant will be trying flies at this event. (Link)
Do not forget that Delayed Harvest season opens up in October in Tennessee and North Carolina.
