October Meeting

October 10th, 2020 Outdoor Meeting

Map

Hello to all I hope you are all doing well.

It has been a challenging year!  If you have cabin fever as bad as I do you’re probably anxious to get outside and visit with your friends.

The Board of Directors have cooked up an exciting outdoor chapter meeting for you.  We have reserved a spacious pavilion at the Alcoa Duck Pond, 636 Vose Road in Alcoa.  There is plenty of space to spread out and visit with your TU friends.  The pavilion has nearby bathrooms with running water.

We will start at 12:00 noon and for safety purposes we encourage you to bring your own lunch and beverages.  There are several picnic tables available that will be sanitized, but we encourage you to bring your own lawn chairs and a small table if you wish.

The afternoons activities will not only give you a chance to catch up on the latest news with your friends but an opportunity to compete in the 2020 FLY CASTING CONTEST!  We will also have corn hole boards set up for your enjoyment.

For your safety we will follow the appropriate social distancing and engagement protocols.  Please honor the following rules.

1.      Observe six-foot social distancing for your protection as well as for the protection of others.

2.      Wear a protective mask especially when moving from one point to another.  If you do not have a personal protective mask, one will be available.

3.      Practice appropriate hygiene.  Hand sanitizer will be available for your convenience.

We hope you will come and enjoy the afternoon with your friends.  We look forward to seeing you!  We have missed you!

Sincerely,

Steven Darnell
