Little River Chapter of Trout Unlimited

Trout Unlimited is offering a free introductory membership for female anglers. Yes it is Free. (Link)   If your know or come across any woman fly fisher. Please take time to let them know about the free introductory membership and invite them to one of our meetings.  I think this is a really good move by Trout Unlimited to help get more woman involve in  T.U.

On the Orvis Fly Fishing Learning Center website,  check under the Resources link you will see the How to Articles. Then go to the Trout fishing tab.  You will find about two dozen articles.  I think there is three articles our chapter members will find really interesting. The first one is  Small Stream Fishing Part 1: How to Find a Stream of Your Own the second is Small Stream Fishing Part 2: Successful Flies for Small Streams and the third is Small Stream Fishing Part 3: Smart Tactics for Small Streams. (link)   They were written by Tom Rosenbauer  and he give some good advice on how to find streams, pick the right flies to use and fishing tactics that will make your catch rate better.  There is nothing better when it is too cold to go fishing then reading trout fishing articles.

October 25  Meeting is at Monte Vista Baptist Church – 1735 Old Niles Ferry Road in Maryville, Tennessee (Map).  Meeting  program:  Clayton Gist will give us an update to this year’s  Trout Camp program.  This was the second annual youth summer camp.
